Getting started
Three steps take you from an empty account to a dashboard full of your own numbers.
Create a workspace
A workspace is one brand, creator, or account you want to track. Create one from the Overview page. Make a separate workspace for each brand you manage.
Connect your platforms
Open Fill Your Grid and connect Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X, Threads, or Facebook. We sync your posts and engagement automatically.
Read your dashboard
Once a platform is connected, your dashboard fills with metrics, your top posts, and your Performance Breakdown. The more you post, the sharper it gets.
No data yet? A brand-new connection takes a short while to pull your post history in. If a platform still looks empty, use the refresh button on its page to trigger another sync.
Your dashboard
The dashboard is your account at a glance. Use the date picker to choose the window, and every number on the page updates to match.
Headline metrics
Followers, video views, total engagements (likes + comments, plus shares and saves where a platform reports them), your engagement rate, and how many IQ Playbook actions are ready for you.
Date range
Switch between the last 7 days, last 30 days, or a custom range. Everything below it re-calculates for that window.
The Brief
A this-week-vs-last-week table covering posts, likes, comments, total and average engagement, and engagement rate, so you can see which way the trend is moving.
Top 5 posts
Your best posts for the selected window, ranked by reach, with their full metrics and a short note on why each one worked.
Per-platform cards
One card per connected account showing followers, engagement, views, and posts published, so you can compare channels side by side.
Download a PDF
Export a snapshot of the current view (date range, platforms, and metrics) as a PDF to share or file away.
Each platform also has its own page (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and so on) with the same layout scoped to that one channel, plus a refresh button to pull its latest posts on demand.
Performance Breakdown
Your Performance Breakdown isn't one number. It's up to four dimensions, each scored 0–100 over the last 30 days, so you can see your strength and your weak spot at a glance.
Likes plus comments per post, measured against your follower count. The core read on how much your audience interacts.
How this 30 days compares to the previous 30. A score of 50 means steady, 100 means roughly +50% growth, 0 means roughly −50%. This one appears once you have a previous 30 days on record to compare against.
The share of your engagement that is comments. A higher number means people are talking back, not just tapping like.
How regularly you publish. Consistency compounds. Three posts a week scores a full bar.
The card highlights your weakest dimension and tells you which one to focus on first, since that's usually where the fastest gains are.
IQ Playbook AI
The IQ Playbook reads your recent posts and posting patterns, then tells you the single best move to make next, and why, in plain language.
Press Run Analyze (or Refresh Analysis to re-run it) and the IQ Engine scores your posts, finds what's working, and turns it into a short list of things to do.
Your Move This Week
The one highest-leverage action to take right now, chosen from your own data.
Action Items
Three concrete, prioritized recommendations you can act on this week.
Top Signals
The patterns driving your results: formats, topics, hashtags, and timing that move the needle.
When to Post
A heatmap of the days and times your audience is most active, so you publish when it counts.
You'll also see a four-week engagement trend, how many posts were analyzed, a Build this in Idea Lab button that carries the analysis straight into idea generation, and a button to download the full analysis as a PDF.
Idea Lab AI
Stuck on what to post? Idea Lab generates content ideas shaped by what already works for you, drawn from your last 90 days of posts.
Type a prompt (a trend you want to react to, a theme you're chasing) or leave it blank for ideas built purely from your data, pick the platforms you want ideas for, and generate. Ideas come back in three groups: Your Account (built from what already works for you), Your Niche (what's working in your niche right now), and Fresh Angles (new directions worth testing). Each idea comes with a suggested platform, format, hook angle, and a good time to publish. Use the platform tabs to focus on one channel, and save any idea to your Library for later.
Idea Lab uses a set number of AI generations each month, depending on your plan. The page shows how many you've used, and when you run out, you can wait for the monthly reset or upgrade.
Content Calendar AI
A ready-made 30-day posting plan, built from your last 90 days of performance, with one suggested post a day, so you never start from a blank page.
Each day comes with a platform, a goal, a hook angle, and the best time to publish, laid out as four weekly cards. Each week also gets a short strategy summary covering what to focus on and how the trend is moving. Press Generate to build it, or Regenerate to rebuild it from your latest data.
Calendar builds have their own monthly budget, separate from your Idea Lab generations. Each Generate or Regenerate uses one, so rebuilding the calendar never eats into your idea generations (and vice versa).
Library
Your saved-ideas workspace. Anything you save from Idea Lab lands here, ready to turn into a real post.
Switch between Drafts (ideas you're still working on) and Archived (ideas you're done with). Filter by platform, sort by newest or oldest, and archive, delete, or export any draft when you're ready to use it.
Post Database
A searchable archive of every post you've ever published, across every connected platform.
Search captions by keyword, filter by platform, format (Reel, video, photo, carousel, text), or date range, and see the full metrics for each post: views, likes, comments, shares, saves, and engagement rate. It's the fastest way to find a past hit to re-promote or a caption to repurpose.
Competitors
Track the accounts you're up against and see how your numbers stack up.
Add a competitor's handle to a slot and pick their platform. We'll pull their followers, engagement rate, trend, top posts, content mix, and best posting times so you can benchmark against them.
Two limits apply, both set by your plan: slots (how many competitors you can track at once) and refreshes (each new analysis uses one). Removing a competitor clears their data, and re-adding them later costs another refresh.
Listening Room AI
Find out how your audience actually feels. Listening Room reads the comments on your recent posts and turns them into a clear read on sentiment and the themes underneath it.
Choose All platforms for a cross-account rollup, or a single account for a deep dive, then press Analyze comments (Re-analyze to refresh it). It works on the platforms that carry comments: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube.
The Pulse
The all-platforms view opens with your warmest audience, the overall mood, and how the conversation splits across your channels.
Sentiment mix
Every read is sorted into positive, neutral, and negative, so you can see the balance of the room at a glance.
Love vs. friction
What people are loving, where the friction is, and the questions they keep asking, pulled straight from their own words.
Words & emoji
The words and emoji that come up most, plus the times of day your commenters are most active.
Your loyal voices
The people who comment again and again. These are the ones worth replying to first.
Notable & verified voices
Verified or high-reach accounts in your comments, so you can spot a bigger room to step into.
Powered by IQ Engine. When a theme is worth acting on, use Open Idea Lab at the bottom of the analysis to turn it straight into your next post.
Trends Radar
See what the US is searching, straight from Google Trends, and turn any trend into a content idea in a single click.
The feed ranks what's trending for your region and time window. Each trend shows how fast it's climbing, roughly how many searches it's pulling, and the related searches around it.
Region & time window
Scope the feed to a region (United States today) and a window: Past 4h, Past 24h, or Past 48h.
Growth & volume
Every trend carries its growth and search volume, so you can tell a real spike from a slow burn before you act on it.
Make ideas
Hit Make ideas on any trend and it lands in Idea Lab pre-loaded, ready to become posts shaped by your own data.
Explore deeper
Click a trend to open it on Google Trends, or use Refresh to pull the latest feed on demand.
The trends feed is shared: everyone sees the same trends for a given region and time window, and the feed shows when it was last updated. What's yours is what you do with it.
Staying in the loop
Two spots in the top bar keep you current: what we've shipped, and what's happening on your own account.
What's New
The What's New icon opens a running timeline of product updates, version by version, so you can see what's just landed.
Notifications
The bell collects alerts as they happen: finished syncs, competitor results, and milestones. Use Mark all read or Clear read to tidy it up.
Metrics & platforms
The numbers behind the dashboard, defined plainly, so a figure here always means the same thing.
- Engagement
- Likes + comments, plus shares and saves where the platform reports them (TikTok does; most others don't). X and Threads don't surface saves or views at all, so we count what each platform gives us. The engagement rate is always built on likes + comments only, so it stays comparable across platforms.
- Engagement rate
- Total likes and comments across your posts, divided by your follower count, for the chosen period, figured per platform, then averaged. We do it this way on purpose: averaging each post's individual rate drags large accounts toward zero and hides real performance. As a rough guide, 1–3% is solid and 5% is strong-creator territory.
- Video views
- Counted where the platform provides them: TikTok, YouTube, Facebook video/Reels, and Instagram Reels. They aren't available for photo posts, or for X and Threads, so view-based stats won't appear there.
- Connected platforms
- Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (Twitter), Threads, and Facebook. Each appears with its own colored badge, and each gets a dedicated page with the same metrics scoped to that channel.
- Actions ready
- The count of open recommendations waiting for you in the IQ Playbook: your to-do list, generated from your own data.
Plans & limits
The AI-powered features run on three separate monthly budgets that scale with your plan. Everything resets at the start of each cycle.
Generations
Used by Idea Lab. Each batch of ideas spends one.
Calendar builds
Their own budget, separate from generations. Each Content Calendar build or rebuild spends one.
Refreshes
Used by Competitors. Each new competitor analysis spends one refresh.
Slots
How many competitors and workspaces you can have at once. Higher plans unlock more.
What each plan includes
| Limit | 10-Day Trial$0, no card needed | Creator | Pro |
|---|---|---|---|
| Connected platforms | 3 | 6 | 6 |
| Workspaces | 1 | 1 | 3 |
| Competitor slots | 3 | 3 | 5 |
| Competitor refreshes | 3 | 6 / month | 12 / month |
| Idea Lab generations | 1 | 20 / month | 60 / month |
| Calendar builds | 1 | 3 / month | 3 / month |
Budgets refill at the start of each billing cycle, and unused amounts don't roll over. When the trial ends, your account switches to read-only: nothing is deleted, and everything comes back when you upgrade. Whenever you hit a limit, you'll see an upgrade prompt; you can compare tiers and manage your subscription anytime under Account → Settings → Billing, and current prices are always on the pricing page.
Want to see where it's all going? Settings → Usage breaks down what you've used this month, by platform and by activity, with a log of your most recent runs.
Frequently asked questions
Quick answers to the things people ask most.
Why is my engagement rate different from other tools?
We calculate engagement rate as total likes and comments divided by your follower count, worked out per platform and then averaged. Some tools average each post's individual rate instead, which pulls larger accounts toward zero. Our method keeps the number meaningful as you grow. See Metrics & platforms for the full definition.
Why don't I see video views on some posts?
View counts only appear where the platform reports them: TikTok, YouTube, Facebook video/Reels, and Instagram Reels. Photo posts, plus X and Threads, don't provide views, so view-based stats are left blank there rather than guessed.
My account looks empty or out of date. How do I refresh it?
A fresh connection takes a little time to pull your history in. Each platform page has a refresh button to trigger another sync on demand, and a status indicator that shows whether the last sync succeeded. If it keeps failing, try reconnecting the account from Fill Your Grid.
What's the difference between a “refresh”, a “generation”, and a “calendar build”?
They're three separate monthly budgets. Generations power Idea Lab, and each batch of ideas uses one. Calendar builds power the Content Calendar, and each build or rebuild uses one. Refreshes power Competitors, and each new competitor analysis uses one. Spending from one never touches the others, and all three reset each billing cycle. See Plans & limits.
Is there a single overall score I should chase?
No, and that's on purpose. The Performance Breakdown is separate dimensions (Engagement Rate, Engagement Trend, Audience Resonance, and Posting Consistency), each from 0 to 100. The point is to see which one is your strength and which is dragging, then fix the weakest. The card calls that one out for you.
Which platforms does Listening Room read?
Listening Room works on the platforms that carry comments: Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. X and Threads aren't covered. Connect at least one eligible account, then press Analyze comments. See Listening Room for what it surfaces.
How do I upgrade or change my plan?
Head to Account → Settings → Billing to compare tiers and manage your subscription. You'll also see an upgrade prompt automatically whenever you reach a limit on competitor slots, workspace slots, or your monthly generations.
I still have a question. Where do I get help?
Use the Help button in the sidebar inside the app to reach support. First-time on a page? Many screens (the dashboard, platform pages, and the IQ Playbook) have a short guided tour to walk you through what you're looking at.
